How do I reset or bulk delete my data on TimelyBills?

TimelyBills allows you to delete multiple transactions at once using the Reset & Clean Up feature available in Settings.


Steps to bulk delete transactions:

  1. Open the TimelyBills app on your device.
  2. Tap your Profile Picture in the top-left corner of the Home screen to open the Menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Scroll down and tap on Reset & Clean Up.
  5. Enable the toggles for the transaction you want to delete:
    • Bill reminders
    • Income
    • Expenses
    • Transfers
  6. For Bill reminders: When the bill reminders toggle is enabled, you will see an additional option to include Paid Bills.
    • Enabled: Both paid bills and bill reminders will be deleted.
    • Disabled: Only future bill reminders will be deleted.
  7. Select the From and To dates to define the date range for the transactions you want to bulk delete.
  8. Tap Accounts Filter if you want to delete transactions from a specific account. Leave it unselected to delete transactions across all accounts. (Optional) 
  9. Tap the Next Button to proceed.
  10. Review the total number of Bill Reminders, Income, Expenses, and Transfer transactions that will be deleted based on the selected filters and date range.
  11. After carefully reviewing the details, tap on the Confirm Button.
  12. An OTP will be sent to your Registered Email address.
    • Tap Resend if you do not receive the OTP or if the received OTP has expired.
  13. Enter the OTP and tap Clean Now to permanently delete the selected transactions or tap Cancel to exit the process.

Helpful Information

  • Goals, Budgets, and Accounts must be deleted separately and are not included in the Reset & Clean Up process.
  • If an account is linked to a goal, delete the associated goal first before deleting the account.
  • Any data shared with family members will be automatically unshared when the related transactions are deleted.
  • Deleted data cannot be restored. Once the clean-up process is completed, rollback or recovery is not possible.


Warning: Bulk deletion is permanent. Please review the transaction count and selected criteria carefully before confirming the deletion.
